Reports To Initial Child Protection Conference
Common Reporting Format Trial
Following a request from the LSCB Executive Board, the Performance and Effective Practice Group have developed a common format for agencies and organisations to use when preparing reports to Initial Child Protection Conferences.
These proformas have been the subject of consultation with all the agencies involved.
Thank you to all colleagues from across all the services that responded to the consultation.
A number of aspects of the proformas have been amended in the light of consultation. However, some responses within the consultation were impossible to resolve in that responses directly contradicted each other.
Therefore, the Performance and Effective Practice Group have agreed to use the proformas for a trial period from now until the end of September 2012.
During the trial period, the Performance and Effective Practice Group would welcome any feedback on the proformas from agencies or individual professionals working within agencies. If you would like to contribute to this feedback, please send your comments to the Safeguarding Business Manager, Geoff Nash on g.nash@poole.gov.uk
The Group will also attempt to get feedback from parents/carers and, where age appropriate, children and young people on the proformas.
At the end of the trial period the Performance and Effective Practice Group will consider all the feedback and decide whether to continue the use of common formats and if so, what amendments to the proformas or associated processes might need to be made. It is also at this stage that the Group will decide whether to go on to develop report proformas for Review Child Protection Conference.
